The EG4 Line Set Extension Kit provides an additional 16.4 feet (5 meters) of refrigerant line for EG4 9k, 12k, or 24k BTU mini split systems. It's ideal for installations requiring increased distance between the indoor and outdoor units, especially in larger homes, garages, or shop environments. The extension matches the original line set’s design and performance, maintaining system compatibility and clean routing.

Plug-N-Cool Quick-Connect System

Each line set is pre-vacuumed and sealed at the factory, featuring EG4’s Plug-N-Cool quick-connect fittings. This eliminates the need for vacuum pumps, gauges, or brazing. The included coupling set allows you to link the extension to the factory line set with a leak-free connection, enabling fast, tool-free installation without the need for a licensed HVAC technician.

Efficiency Considerations and Refrigerant Volume

Adding line length increases refrigerant volume, which may reduce system efficiency by approximately 3% per 16.4 ft extension. To maintain peak performance, a licensed HVAC technician can optionally add 0.2 oz. of R410A refrigerant per additional foot. This step is not required but recommended for systems operating near capacity or in high-demand environments.

Installation Timing and Compatibility

This kit is designed to be installed during the initial system setup. It is not intended for use on systems that have already been charged or had their refrigerant valves opened. Once the system is pressurized, any modifications must be made by a certified technician with proper equipment to recover and recharge the refrigerant.
